DREAM x Choice x SunMed - STEM Tour
With great partners like SunMed and The Choice Program at UMBC - The Shriver Center, DREAM can help build cannabis career pathways.
Our goals will be to create impactful and engaging programming that broadens horizons for the youth while addressing racial inequities. We can achieve this by;
• Educating underserved youth on a growing industry with career and entrepreneurial opportunities.
• Fostering a professional network with the possibility of employment and/or mentorship.
• Providing positive outlooks, examples, and information on the burgeoning cannabis industry to combat stigma in communities negatively impacted by the war on drugs.
• Building connections between great organizations like SunMed, DREAM, and higher ed. institutions.
To kick off our programming, we hosted a cohort of young adults from the Choice Program at SunMed Growers, one of the most impressive organizations and facilities in the cannabis industry that is HQ’ed out of Warwick, MD. We got an inside look at SunMed’s unique culture, methodologies, and scale. Learning was enjoyable with amazing people like their head grower and the lab extraction team providing genuine energy while dropping gems of cannabis knowledge.
